At Improvision, we are dedicated to providing imaging products for scientific research that are created to the highest standards. Our software systems are innovative and we strive to take advantage of all the latest technological and computing advances. We pay great attention to product design, so that our software is intuitively easy to learn and use. Our software is exhaustively tested before release and we have an ongoing commitment to the development of both existing and new products.
Our motivation is the desire to produce the best possible scientific imaging systems for cell biologists. Using the tools that our products provide, biological scientists are pushing back the frontiers of the understanding of life and death. We are proud to be associated with research which may ultimately lead to cures for diseases such as cancer, malaria, HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer’s Disease and many others.
A major theme of our company philosophy is the overriding importance of placing our customers at the center of all our endeavors. Our Development Team creates products that are both powerful yet user friendly; our Product Management Team is forward thinking, anticipating scientific developments so that our customers have the best available products; our Sales Team is trained to ask the right questions and recommend the best solutions for specific research requirements; our Technical Support Team is on hand to provide fast, accurate responses to questions and problems.
Everyone at Improvision plays their part towards the common goal of creating and delivering exceptional products. We hope that you will find using our systems both a rewarding and pleasant experience.
In March 2007 Improvision was delighted to announce that the company had been acquired by PerkinElmer, Inc.
This acquisition strengthens the position of PerkinElmer in the fast-growing field of advanced cellular sciences. In particular, the addition of Volocity to their product range complements the UltraVIEW® Live Cell Imaging system, which captures high-speed, high-resolution, multi-dimensional images of live biological samples including cultured cells, tissues and embryos.
Andrew Waterfall, CEO of Improvision says "This is a very important development for Improvision. We believe that our products provide the best 3D and 4D imaging solutions for life scientists and we are looking forward to the new opportunities and challenges that lay ahead."
