Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems

Portable Energy Systems

The institute is the first institute of the Max Planck Society dedicated to the engineering sciences and is supposed to bridge the gap between basic research and industrial applications. The main research activities are focussed on the analysis and synthesis, the design and control of processes in chemical and bio-engineering. Scientists of different disciplines like engineering, chemistry, biology, mathematics and computer sciences add their specific knowledge to the research work, thereby developing new methods and tools for tackling problems in other application areas.
