Molecular Biophysics

We are interested in investigating ion channel function in immune cells. By applying fluorescence microscopy, electrophysiology and biochemical approaches interlinking immunological and ion channels aspects we investigate consequences of disturbances of calcium homeostasis and dysfunction of channels related to calcium fluxes on the immune system. Our research uses primary human cells and investigates strucutre function relationship of proteins in overexpression systems.
