The Zoological Research Museum ALexander Koenig in Bonn (Germany) is an institute of the Leibniz-Association, funded by the federal government and the states. More than 75% of the budget is invested in biodiversity research, with a focus on species discovery and description, evolution, analyses of molecular biodiversity, and analyses of trends of species diversity in our environment. Nearly 200 persons work in our facility, more than 80 have permanent posts. Our vision is to contribute to a better understanding of global biodviersity changes, including historical and anthropogenic processes.
