DOCTORAL RESEARCHER (F/M/D) Modelling and data-driven diagnostics of non-thermal plasmas
Activities and responsibilities
- Develop an approach to data-driven diagnostics integrating measurement and simulation data in a common database
- Use and extend reaction kinetic models and spatially resolved fluid simulations for discharge characterisation, especially in comparison with experimental data
- Direct linking of measured and simulation data by means of a common database with uniform data and metadata formats for all measured and calculated discharge parameters
- Apply and develop methods for verification of simulation codes and validation of models and experimental data to ensure the reliability of the database
- Present your work on national and international conferences and write peer-reviewed publications for scientific journals
Qualification profile
- Successful completion of higher education studies (Master of Science degree, Diploma or equivalent) preferably in physics, mathematics, chemistry, electrical engineering or related fields
- Experiences in the scientific modelling and data analysis, preferably in the field of non-thermal plasmas
- Profound knowledge of at least one programming language, e.g., Python, C/C++, or Fortran
- Working experience with databases and managing research data would be highly beneficial
- High degree of commitment, reliability, self-reliant working, and problem-solving competence
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
