Data Scientist, Mathematician as Data Analyst (m/f/d)

Your mission

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Analyst (m/f/d) to join our team. In this role, you will support various business functions - including sales, production, finance, and purchasing - by providing insightful data analysis and actionable insights that drive data-driven decisions and business growth. You will play a pivotal role in unlocking the value of our data, helping to create strategies that optimize performance across the organization.

Main tasks

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data from multiple sources to support business teams in making informed decisions. Create comprehensive reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
• Business Support: Partner with business teams across sales, production, finance, and purchasing to understand their data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions that drive growth and efficiency.
• Data Interpretation: Translate complex data sets into meaningful narratives that support business strategies and objectives. Communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
• Value Creation: Identify opportunities to leverage data to create value, optimize processes, and improve business outcomes. Use data to uncover trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

Other tasks

• KPI Development and Monitoring: Work with business teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and set up monitoring systems to track progress against goals.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with IT, data engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc analyses to answer specific business questions or solve urgent problems, providing quick yet thorough insights.
• Process Improvement: Continuously seek to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Experience and know-how

• Bachelor’s degree in data Science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, business analytics, or a related field.
• Several years of experience as a Data Analyst (m/f/d) or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Experience working with large datasets and performing data mining.
• Strong understanding of statistical methods and data modeling.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. Snowflake) and big data technologies.
• Very good knowledge of German and English required.

• Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
