Artilysin®s are muralytic proteins which are active on gram-positive and gram-negative target bacteria. In order to expand our team, we are looking for a highly motivated senior scientist with experience in protein engineering at the earliest possible date. Senior Scientist protein engineering / molecular biology (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
- Molecular design, protein engineering and characterization of Artilysin®s according to project specifications
- Oversight of one or more internal and/or customer-related projects
- Organizational oversight of project related lab activities including coordination of external service providers to ensure project progress
- Analysis, documentation and presentation of scientific data
Your profile:
- PhD in biochemistry, biology or equivalent
- Strong scientific background in molecular biology / protein engineering
- Experience in leading projects including coordination of various stakeholders
- Prior experience in industrial environment highly regarded
- A reliable, self-motivated and flexible team player
- Strong communication skills, excellent verbal and written English
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to work to strict timelines
- Strong analytical and strategic skills with a highly structured working approach
