Doctoral Position in Life Science Economics

One doctoral position in Life Science Economics (reference: GIA/2015/T09)

The Technische Universität München (TUM) is looking to fill one Doctoral Position in Life Science Economics (50 % 13 TV-L) in its Governance in International Agribusiness group (campus Weihenstephan), at the earliest date possible.

Your tasks:
• Writing your dissertation on policy-relevant questions regarding the governance of the agribusiness sector (e.g., role of institutions, relationships among actors in the supply chain)
• Teaching and project management
• Supporting the group leader in research, teaching and grant writing activities

Your profile:
• A master’s degree in economics or agricultural economics
• Strong motivation to publish in international leading economics and agricultural economics journals
• Strong understanding of microeconomic theory and industrial organization
• Good knowledge of MATLAB or similar software
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Knowledge of German is an advantage
• Personal initiative, commitment and an excellent team player

• Salary based on the German state regulated public service salary scale (50 % E13 TV-L)
• The appointment is initially limited for a period of three years
