We have been an independent service provider for the agrochemical, industrial chemical and pharmaceutical industry since 1996, and now have over 450 employees at sites in the EU, Asia and the USA. As an industrial service provider with an international focus, we offer comprehensive advice on the registration of agrochemicals, biocides, industrial chemicals, veterinary pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnological pharmaceuticals.
To support our team we are currently seeking a
        Scientist with experience in environmental fate/modelling and exposure assessment (m/f)
        Ref. No. 2015-17/JV
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluation of environmental fate studies and related publications regarding their validity
  • Preparation of environmental Risk Assessments and prediction of fate and concentration of biocides in the environment
  • Preparation of registration dossier parts according to the Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) No. 528/2012 with focus on environmental exposure and risk assessments
  • Regulatory support, including the development of registration strategies
  • Responsible for preparing, implementing, communicating, and coordinating regulatory projects according to national and international regulatory framework
  • Develop and maintain regulatory knowledge of European and worldwide (biocidal) regulations
  • Communication and close co-operation with our customers, in particular large global industries
Profile and Qualifications:
  • University degree in agricultural science, geography, biology or any related environmental degree
  • Experience in Environmental Risk Assessments of biocides or crop protection products according to national and international regulatory framework
  • With expertise in modelling tools such as FOCUS and EUSES
  • Ability to manage complex projects to tight deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent language skills in German and English; additional language skills would be an asset
  • Be self-motivated
