PhD Position Infectiology - Investigation of Pathogen-Host Interaction of M. abscessus in Cystic Fibrosis

 Kinderklinik Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf  Düsseldorf
As part of the research project "Identification and Evaluation of Mycobacterium abscessus complex specific immunogenic protein as tool for detection and characterization of infection in Cystic Fibrosis patients" by the Pediatric Pneumology and Infectious Diseases Group (project supervisor: Dr. M. Steindor; Head: Prof. Dr. M. Jacobsen) at the Department of General Pediatrics at the Heinrich-Heine-University in Duesseldorf (director: Professor Dr. E. Mayatepek) funded by the Research Committee of the University of Duesseldorf project we offer a

Great interest in clinically focused basic research is a precondition. Experience with methods of immunology, microbiology, proteomics and/or molecular genetics (e.g. flow cytometry, bacterial culture, cloning, protein purification, BLAST) are particularly welcome.
