Purpose of the position / Work environment

- Carry out his/her PhD project
- The projects monitor antigenic and genetic variations of human (influenza, hepatitis B, C, measles, rubella ao) and/or veterinary viruses and the molecular epidemiology of these viruses and analyze anti-virus host interactions. The candidate should be ready to spent 2-3 months per year in the laboratory of the Departement (LaoLuxLab) in Vientiene, Laos or at the locations of collaborating partners mainly in Asia, but possibly also Africa
