offering the following vacancy as of 01.10.2014:

Master/Diploma Work (m/f)

Subject:  Composition of death receptor platforms

Activation of the death receptors leads to the induction of the programmed cell death (PCD) as well as proliferative pathways. Deregulation of the PCD is associated with a number of diseases such as cancer, autoimmune diseases and inflammation. Our work is aimed to understand the molecular mechanisms of signaling regulation and to design new therapeutic approaches against diseases associated with defects in apoptosis/inflammation.

 Your duties:
  • Biochemical analysis of the composition of the death receptor signaling platforms
  • Analysis of the posttranslational modifications in the death receptor signaling

Your profile:
  • Strong biochemical and cellular biology skills, knowledge of cell death and inflammation pathways
  • Good communication skills (spoken and written)

We offer:
  • Excellent technical facilities
  • The freedom you need to bridge the difficult gap between high level basic research and application oriented research & development
  • Work in multinational teams
  • Excellent link with national and international research networks
