Scientist - Molecular Biology, Biochemistry (m/f)


Molecular Partners is a thriving and fast growing clinical stage biotech company located in Zürich-Schlieren, Switzerland. The development of a broad portfolio of therapeutic product candidates in oncology and ophthalmology based on our proprietary DARPin platform allowed a successful listing of the company on the SIX Swiss Exchange (MOLN). Next to our own proprietary pipeline of drug candidates we have entered into collaborations with international pharmaceutical companies, including Roche, Allergan and Janssen.
To strengthen our Lead Generation department, we are looking for a highly motivated scientist with group leader experience. You would be heading a group of skilled researchers responsible for the generation of DARPins for our therapeutic programs. Your role would combine people and scientific leadership. This challenging and diverse position will include the following tasks:
  • Target production and hit-to-lead generation using DARPin libraries and in-vitro selection and screening technologies
  • Build a strong team that effectively provides projects with DARPins of high quality
  • Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of the lead generation process
  • Discussion and presentation of scientific results
For this challenging position, we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual with a Ph.D. in biochemistry or molecular biology, with at least five years of industry research experience in the field of protein drug development and a track record of people leadership. You should further bring along:
  • Experience with the generation of binding proteins using in vitro display and high throughput screening technologies
  • An accurate and independent working style
  • Ability to translate strategies into a work plan
  • Ability to present scientific data clearly
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Sound oral and written English
  • Experience with people leadership
