Regional Manager, Distribution Support  M/W
Based in Germany
Reporting to the European Marketing Director, your primary responsibility is to ensure coverage by distributors of all therapeutic fields for current portfolio (cardiovascular surgery, gastro-intestinal surgery and general / visceral surgery).
The Role:
- Recruit new distributors for our products in the existing indications
- Ensure maximal marketing- and sales effort by our distributors: manage, coordinate, and collaborate with existing and new distributors to optimize their sales and our relationship
- Ensure high level of knowledge: train distributor continually on our product, accompany to surgery room, demonstrate products to surgeons, and coach surgeons and distributors in their use
- Resolve potential competition issues between distributors
- Using the candidates existing relationships with surgeons, nurses, and hospitals, help distributors to build up their sales of our products
- Establish and grow new relationships with surgeons, nurses, and hospitals to increase sales of our products by distributors
- Analyze business opportunities
- Keep management informed by submitting periodical territory analysis as well as activity- and results reports and competition monitor
- Participate in development of marketing material for distributors, distributors’ sales reps, and for surgeons and in team efforts for EU regulatory approvals
- Participation in medical device conferences, travel to conferences, distributor demonstrations, surgeon training session.

The Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences
- You have previous sales and business development experience (including new product launch) in the medical device industry, especially for consumable devices in the target markets
- You understand of how distributors work and are experienced in management of distributors and sales representatives
- You have worked previously for a small company and a work experience in a foreign country is much valued
- Skills and competencies: pioneering/explorative, self-starter, supportive, team player, closing deals, take ownership of responsibilities, high degree of flexibility
- Travelling up to 75% of time, mostly domestic, occasionally within Europe for training and conferences, or even in the US and Asia.
