PhD candidate in Plant Biochemistry

Starting January 2015

Funding is available for a PhD position in the field of “Ubiquitin-mediated degradation meets small molecule signaling”. Using plants as model organisms, we aim to understand the dynamics behind protein stability. We focus on mechanistic studies on the assembly and regulation of ubiquitin ligases-substrate, as well as ubiquitin ligases-small molecule interactions and their networks, and ultimately their role in growth and development.

Our research involves molecular and biochemical approaches and candidates will benefit from excellent facilities at the IPB, as well as from an international research environment.

Requirements: Successful candidates should have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Biology or Biophysics. We are seeking specifically for a highly motivated, determined and passionate doctoral student with extensive knowledge of molecular biology and proven experience in biochemistry techniques. English written and spoken is essential for the position.
