PhD fellowship on “Ubiquitin-mediated degradation meets small molecule signaling”

Using plants as model organisms, we aim to understand the dynamics behind protein turnover with emphasis on structural determinants. We focus on mechanistic studies on the assembly and regulation of ubiquitin ligases-substrate, as well as ubiquitin ligases-small molecule interactions and their networks, and ultimately their role in growth and development.

Our research involves molecular and biochemical approaches and candidates will benefit from excellent facilities at the IPB, as well as from an international research environment.

Requirements: Successful candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Biology or Biophysics. Extensive knowledge of biochemistry and proven experience in molecular biology techniques are a must. English written and spoken is essential for the position.

Appointments will be made according to TV-L, E 13 for a period of two years with possible extension.

Closing date for applications is July 31st, 2015. Please refer to application code 19/2015.
