PhD Position in Immunology and High-Throughput Sequencing; TV-L: E13/65%
For a research project in the field of autoimmune diseases we are seeking a PhD student with a strong interest for complex molecular biological methods, bioinformatic analysis and immunology. The project is supported by the Excellence Cluster “Inflammation at Interfaces” for the duration of 3 years.
The main topic within the project will be the analysis of the T and B cell receptor repertoire by next-generation-sequencing in mouse and man. In addition, the project involves molecular-biological and immunological techniques (single-cell PCR, FACS, ELISA, laser-microdissection, immunohistochemistry).
We offer excellent research facilities and a motivating work atmosphere. Since the project is part of the Excellence Cluster “Inflammation at Interfaces” it provides many possibilities for collaborations in various fields. This project is an excellent opportunity for scientists who are interested in recent technological advances in immunology.
Candidates should be highly motivated in solving scientific questions of modern immunobiology. They must hold a masters degree in biology, biochemistry, medicine or a related discipline and should be interested in immunological approaches and high throughput sequencing.
The University of Luebeck seeks to increase the percentage of female scientists and encourages female candidates to apply.  In cases of similar qualification, competence and specific achievements women will be considered in equal terms within the legal framework.  Handicapped candidates with equal qualification will be given preference.
