PhD position in Molecular Biology - Quantitative proteomics in epigenetics & RNA biology

In the field of  “Quantitative proteomics in epigenetics & RNA biology” the research group of Dr. Falk Butter offers the following computational PhD project:

Omics Data Integration

We are looking for a motivated and talented PhD student with strong bioinformatics background to join our lab. We are currently routinely applying large scale transcriptomics and proteomics experiments in our research. In the future we would like to devise strategies to integrate transcriptomics, ribosome profiling and proteomics data to further strengthen our research in regulation of gene expression at the translational level to attempt a systems approach to study cellular events. The ideal candidate has an interest to develop and apply computational methods on large scale data sets. A profound knowledge in statistics, scripting (preferentially R/Bioconductor) and visual data interpretation is anticipated. We furthermore can provide wet lab opportunities and hands-on experience in mass spectrometry to interested candidates.

We offer
•    The possibility to work on a cutting-edge project using state-of-the-art technology in a highly motivated research team
•    A stimulating, diverse and international research environment
