The available PhD positions in electrophysiology are supporting a project in the newly founded Priority Program SPP1757 'Glial heterogeneity' and examines synaptic integration in NG2 cells using,  patch-clamp, two-photon uncaging and imaging techniques in brain slices.
The positions are to be filled asap and lasts for the period of the PP 1757 subject to satisfactory progress.
The ideal candidate will show a strong interest in cellular neurophysiology and synaptic transmission. Prior research experience with microscopy or uncaging techniques or patch clamp is advantageous. Candidates must hold a Master degree or equivalent in Neuroscience. Candidates should also demonstrate aptitude in written and spoken English.
Salary will be according to the German salary scale TV-L E13; exceptional applicants may qualify for enhanced salary options.
