Biomedical Scientist

In the Institute for Experimental Immunology and Imaging the position of a
 
Biomedical scientist
(E13 TV-L)

is available from the 01.08.2015 for a project funded by the EU Horizon 2020 program. The project deals with the analysis of cell migration in human leukocytes. The duration of the position is for 3 years. The pay grade classification depends on the personal and collective legal requirements.
 
We are looking for a motivated individual with:
 
  • A PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in biomedical sciences and/or MD (Dr. med.), having a thorough background in cellular immunity and extensive experience in experimental cellular and molecular immunology
  • Broad experience in advanced microscopy techniques (ideally paired with experience in the use and programming of typical analysis software), flow cytometry and molecular modification of immune cells, as demonstrated by publications in leading international scientific journals of the field
  • a creative mind in search of a challenging scientific project that, in case of success, could make a significant impact on future immunodiagnostics
  • proven experience of working with cellular material from human blood, which, within the additional context of a clinical study would be a plus
