Independent Junior Group Leader

Position. The ZMBP comprises 16 research groups and central facilities with nearly 200 staff members. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a competitive research program in the scientific area of

Molecular Plant Biology

The successful candidate will be expected to interact with the research groups of the ZMBP and to contribute to the CRC 1101 (Molecular Coding of Specificity in Plant Processes). Interactions with other groups within the Science Faculty of the University and the MPI for Developmental Biology are also welcome.
The position will be vacant from April 1, 2015 and is initially limited to 6 years.
Salary and social benefits are according to scale A 13 of the German Civil Service Regulations. The Center provides lab space with full equipment, funding for staff, start-up money, an independent annual budget and shared equipment funds.
The research group will benefit from the ZMBP central service units (administration, plant transformation, cytometry/FACS, greenhouse facilities, analytics, microscopy, IT support).
