A postdoc position (TV-L 13, 2 years) embedded into the German Excellence Cluster ImmunoSensation and the SFB645 is available at the Institute of Experimental Immunology of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms Universität Bonn, Germany.
One of main interest is antigen cross-presentation, an important mechanism in antiviral and antitumor immunity (see Burgdorf et al, Science 2007; Burgdorf et al, Nature Immunol 2008; Semmling et al, Nature Imunol 2010; Kurts et al, Nat Rev Immunol 2010; Tittel et al, Nat Methods 2012; Schiwon et al, Cell 2014). The successful applicant will address the cell biology of antigen cross-presentation using newly generated transgenic tools and various in vitro and in vivo settings.
Required is a PhD in Biology, Molecular Biomedicine or in similar fields. Previous experience cell biology and advanced microscopy are desirable. The ideal candidate possesses a keen interest in immunological research questions, is highly motivated, team-oriented and capable of integrating into a young and successful research team.
Experience with animal experimentation, cell culture and molecular biology is advantageous.
