Position available, start immediately, for a postdoc

with expertise in mass spectrometry, hormone/metabolome analytics and molecular endocrinology in the central project of the DFG-funded priority programme THYROID-TRANSACT (SPP 1629).

The applicant should have excellent experience in LC-MS/MS analysis of molecules with low abundance, knowledge on preanalytical extraction procedures, development of hormone (immuno-) assays, evaluation and handling of big data sets. Motivation to implement quality control and SOPs in analytically and clinically oriented research as well as team-spirit and openness for biomedical research in the interdisciplinary DFG SPP 1629 are desired.

LC-MS/MS determination of thyroid hormones, thyronamines and their metabolites (the ‘thyronome’) as well as development of new efficient preanalytical extraction procedures for various human and mouse biological samples, including serum are in the focus.

This research position involves a service aspect within the framework of the cooperation of SPP 1629 and is open immediately for 11 months with a possible 3 year extension.
