About the role 

Abcam is looking for a talented, dynamic German Speaking, business professional to drive the growth in the established territory of Central Europe. Responsible for implementing the sales and tactical marketing strategy for the territory, you will be key to delivering sales growth and product portfolio adoption. This will involve direct responsibility for client management, coordinating awareness and promotional campaigns as well as visiting key customers and opinion leaders within the territory. 

As the Inside Sales Associate you will be responsible for the generation of new business within the specific geographic area of Germany, Switzerland and Austria working with the Virtual Office team to manage customer experience. You will be communicating with customers by phone, email and face to face. 

Role responsibilities:
  • Promote and sell the products and services of Abcam to all customers based in Central Europe.
  • Manage institutional customer groups and purchasing consortia, third party relationships and direct customer requests.
  • Manage bulk and bespoke sales enquiries within the Academic Research and Biotech market in Central Europe.
  • Work with the Key Account Manager, and the Virtual Office Team to proactively improve the sales results in the region.
  • Drive the revenue growth of the business by promoting and marketing our full product range of Antibodies, proteins, Kits and Biochemicals.
  • Negotiate Master Service Agreements and supply contracts including licensing terms.
  • Provide project updates and collect feedback from customers
  • Attend and organize conferences and meetings in line with strategic marketing for the region
  • Coordinate language specific awareness emails
  • Coordinate language specific promotional campaigns 
About You 

You will be a graduate in life sciences with experience of working in a laboratory, you may currently be a sales representative that would like to advance their career by moving into a broader multi-country territory management role. We are looking for someone who is a creative thinker, and is proactive in taking initiative. In addition, you will need to be a confident individual, good communicator, fluent in German and English and be able to follow through in all your projects. 

You should be happy to present at scientific and commercial presentations and be able to manage relationships both at scientific end-user level, decision making level and purchasing/procurement level.
