Scientific Project Manager (m/f/d; Ph.D.)

As a Scientific Project Manager (m/f/d; Ph.D.) at Taconic Biosciences you work in a team-based environment to manage custom GEM (Genetically Engineered Models) projects through all steps from initial planning to delivery.

This position is based in the Cologne area, Germany.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Internal supervision and tracking of custom GEM project progress in close collaboration with Taconic Resource Management
  • External communication of project progress and scientific discussion with our international industry and academic clients
  • Close interaction with all Taconic functional areas, including Operations, Sales/Marketing, Finance, Product Mgt and Legal
  • Internal coordination of projects and project transition with our colleagues in USA and Denmark
  • Internal scientific discussions about mouse model generation and novel technologies in mouse/rat genetics

Your qualifications are:

  • M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Ph.D. or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in the design, generation and characterization of genetically modified mouse/rat models and track record in biomedical research (Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology) preferred
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in English
  • Dedication to team work
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of German language is desirable
