Biologist, Biochemist, Pharmacologist as Scientist Assay Technology (m/f) – Cell Culture, High Content, Electrophysiology, Flow Cytometry

For our growing and agile research team in Regensburg, Germany we are seeking a

Scientist Assay Technology m/f

The successful candidate will work at the interface of biology and technology with responsibility for
  • Development, optimization, and execution of cell-based and biochemical assays for high throughput screening, substance characterization, or automated biology applications.
  • Management of client-funded research projects, including planning, experimental execution, preparation of deliverables (reports, technical documentation), and communications with key stakeholders.
  • Support and lifecycle management for laboratory instrumentation, including process/protocol development, maintenance coordination, and user cross-training.
  • Technical documentation for assay protocols, lab procedures, and instrumentation.
  • Independent interaction with clients, service providers, and scientific partners; participation in scientific discussions and conferences to keep current with field of expertise and emerging assay technologies.

The position requires a talented and motivated individual with a solid scientific background paired with project and process management skills and a strong affinity for laboratory technology:
  • Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or related Life Science discipline with a proven track record in independent laboratory research.
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian tissue culture, and a broad spectrum of biochemical and cell-biology laboratory techniques.
  • Subject matter expert for at least one of the following target classes including related assay technologies: Enzymes; Ion Channels; Transmembrane Transporters.
  • Mastery of at least one of the following technologies: High-content/ phenotypic detection and data analysis; Electrophysiology/ (automated) patch-clamp; Flow cytometry; Advanced tissue culture techniques (e.g. iPSC, primary cells, 3D).
  • Excellent skills in Windows-based computing, scientific data analysis, and data management.
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
