PhD student (m/f) in Computational Biology of Molecular Protein Signalling
The Molecular Simulations and Design Group is working on multiscale modelling of protein signal transduction networks.
Protein signalling pathways represent a complex network of interacting proteins and/or small molecules. Post-translational modifcations are carriers of information and signal induction and may stimulate further downstream processes. These can be the target of future pharmaceutical applications.
Expertise and experience with bioinformatics, molecular dynamics and protein-protein docking is expected.
The project is part of the interdisciplinary “Research Center Dynamic Systems: Biosystems Engineering ” funded by the Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt within the “Excellence Program”. Project partner is a.o. the Medical Faculty, Institute of Experimental Internal Medicine.
