Using next generation high-throughput sequencing technology and biochemical approaches we study how posttranslational histone modifications and histone variants interact to form chromatin structures that modulate transcription in T. brucei, see publication in Genes & Dev (2009) 23, 1063-1076. The successful applicant will work in the dynamic environment of the Research Center for Infectious Diseases. (http://www.imib-wuerzburg.de/imib/). Salaries will be based on TV-L 13.
