is seeking
1 PhD student
to develop a forward genetic screen for drug resistance genes and their interactors using gene trapping in haploid chronic myeloid leukemia cells (KBM-7) and generic tag-based proteomics (Schnütgen, F. et al. (2011) Resources for proteomics in mouse embryonic stem cells. Nature Methods. 8, 103-104). The position is embedded in a highly challenging and competitive environment of basic and applied research addressing diseases of the hematopoietic system including leukemia by employing the most advanced functional genomics tools such as high throughput proteomics, next generation sequencing and CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing. The Department is a member of the Excellence Cluster Cardio-Pulmonary Systems (ECCPS), the Loewe Center for Cell- and Gene Therapy, and the German Consortium of Translational Cancer Research (DKTK). Experience in cell culture, tag-based proteomics and/or or molecular biology would be of advantage. The position will be initially available for 2 years with the possibility of extension for another year. Salary will be according to TV-H (E13 65%).
