We are looking for a dedicated and experienced

Bioinformatics Scientist (m/f/d)

You will work in close cooperation with biologists and chemists, and support clients and your peers in all aspects of data processing and data analysis, including RNA-Seq projects. Your main area of responsibility will be the identification and design of proprietary siRNA and ASO therapeutics, including constant advancement of their design by performing data mining, literature research and supporting structure–activity relationships studies.

Your profile

  • PhD or Master’s degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biology or a related natural science discipline. Other applicants with substantial professional experience will also be considered.
  • At least 3 years’ experience and a proven track record in RNA-Seq analysis, or machine learning and AI, or in the design of therapeutic oligonucleotides (e.g. ASOs or siRNAs)
  • Mastery of Linux environments and shell scripting
  • Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: Perl, Python, or R
  • Experience with HTML, PHP and MySQL is a plus
  • A profound background in statistics is a plus
  • Understanding of the mechanism of action of oligonucleotide therapeutics, knowledge of RNA chemistry and transcriptomics is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, a high degree of flexibility in a fast-paced work environment, analytical reasoning and a can-do attitude
  • Careful processing and documenting of your results are a given
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English (written and oral), basic knowledge of the German language
