Area of Responsibility

  • Design, plan and perform scientific experiments as downstream processing expert for our biosimilar pipeline products and lead assigned functional teams
  • Contribute actively to process development, transfer, characterization or validation projects
  • Support clinical manufacturing and address technical process related questions
  • Prepare, review and approve technical documents as part of the aforementioned projects
  • Actively participate in knowledge exchange, collaborate with other functions and sites to facilitate transfer of knowledge
  • Report and present scientific results internally and contribute to publications, presentations and patents
  • Ensure maintenance of infrastructure and equipment (e.g. system ownership), support required investments and ensure state-of-the art status of the department by evaluating and implementing new technologies
  • Train and supervise colleagues on temporary assignments


  • Education /Experience: PhD in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or equivalent with min. of 4 years or alternatively Master with min. 6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Languages: English (fluent), German (beneficial)
  • Technical Knowledge: Broad scientific or technical knowledge in e.g. protein purification, analytical, cell culture, galenical; knowledge of and practical experience with laboratory tools e.g. ÄKTA and TFF systems incl. relevant software tools; experience in statistical data evaluation; good presentation and technical writing skills; cGMP knowledge is desirable
  • Personal skills: Team player who drives for optimal results in a complex environment

In accordance with the Austrian collective labour agreement, we advise you that the minimum gross annual salary for this role is 48.020,- euros.
