Doctoral (PhD) student Position

The Institute for Cardiovascular Regeneration at the Goethe University Frankfurt, Prof. Dr. Stefanie Dimmeler, is offering a
 
PhD student position in non-coding RNA biology
(E13 TV-G-U, 65%-Teilzeit)
 
starting at January 1st, 2016 and initially limited for two years with an option for extension.
 
Our work is focussed on the understanding and therapeutic targeting of cardiovascular repair and regeneration. The specific project relates to the identification of the biological functions of circular RNAs, which are non-coding RNAs that are formed by alternative splicing. The study is supported by an advanced grant of the European Research Council.
 
Candidates should hold a Master degree. Experience in RNA biology, cell biology and molecular biology would be advantageous.
