3B Pharmaceuticals discovers and develops targeted radiopharmaceuticals providing a focused and personalized approach to the treatment of cancer. Our peptides and peptidomimetics constitute excellent tumor-specific targeting moieties and are coupled to therapeutic and diagnostic radioisotopes via a chelator. As a leader in peptide discovery and optimization, 3BP has built a technology platform extending from hit identification to early clinical development. Technologies are applied to both in-house and collaborative R&D.
We are looking for a scientist with relevant experience in the development and implementation of biochemical and cell-based assays who will join our team as manager of our R&D assay unit.
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for the establishment of screening and secondary assays that deliver meaningful data to guide the drug discovery process. You will closely work with the project leaders on various different projects and communicate the results of your unit directly to the project groups. With a team of experienced technicians under your supervision, you will organize the operational routine, oversee protocol and data management as well as data interpretation.
Your tasks
  • Establish and implement biochemical and cell-based assays
  • Devise assay strategies in close cooperation with project leaders
  • Coordinate routine assay operations and data management
  • Constantly strive to improve efficiency, assay quality and data usability
  • Identify and evaluate new useful assay technologies
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external purposes
Your qualifications
  • Degree in life sciences, chemistry or a related field with a PhD and/or Post-Doc
  • Excellent knowledge of biochemical and cell-based assays in drug discovery
  • Experience in establishment and routine operation of biochemical and cell-based assays in drug discovery / development
  • Experience with electronic laboratory data managements systems would be ideal
  • Professional experience in discovery / development of peptidic drugs are a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • High degree of self-motivation and interpersonal skills
