Master Thesis in Centrosomal Biology linked to Cell Cycle and Molecular Aging Research

Applications by Bachelor/undergraduate students are invited by the Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology II (Medical Faculty, Heinrich-Heine-University), where Master projects are available to work on several exciting and collaborative projects in Centrosomal/Mitochondrial Biology linked to Cell Cycle and Molecular Aging Research. For recents publications see Thakur et al., J. Biol. Chem., 2014 and Lang et al., Aging (Albany), 2016.

Various biochemical, molecular biology, genetical (incl. CRISPR/Cas9), and cell biological techniques as well as primary and tumor cell culture are being employed to better understand the molecular function of centrosomal TACC proteins and mitochondrial sirtuins.

Highly motivated undergrad students with interest in molecular cell cycle and cancer research are encouraged to apply.

Please submit your application (including CV & motivation letter) to Roland.Piekorz@hhu.de by 01. September 2016.
