PhD position in NMR and optical imaging of healing processes in heart failure

The project in the group of Prof. Wolfgang Bauer (www.cardio.uni-wuerzburg.de/en/maw_start) deals with
Development of heart failure caused by inflammation and microstructural healing processes after acute heart damage.
Methods applied comprise high field magnetic resonance imaging of inflammation and microstructure as well as high end optical imaging and immunological techniques in small animal models of myocardial infarction.
Applicants must have a Master's degree or equivalent in the life sciences or natural sciences. Experience in one or more of the imaging techniques mentioned above or with immunological techniques is required. Experience with animal models is a clear benefit.
