PhD project on Protein-RNA Interactions during transcriptional fine-tuning

The project revolves around the non-coding RNA in the process of dosage compensation in Drosophila with a particular emphasis on the role of the RNA helicase MLE. The candidate will join and strengthen a small team of researchers studying the mechanistic aspects of transcriptional fine tuning, using the Drosophila model.

Experience in the molecular biology manipulations of RNA and in analyzing protein-RNA interactions in vitro or in vivo are of advantage. Preference will be given to a candidate with interest and skills in quantitative aspects of molecular interactions.

Salary Details: Salary is according to the German standard salary scale (65% E13).
