Postdoctoral researcher position in computational biology and immunology

Starting in spring 2016 for three years initially in the field of single cell transcriptomic and epigenetic analysis.
The Emmy Noether research group Myeloid Cell Biology combines novel single cell transcriptomics approaches with advanced flow cytometry and functional assays to unravel novel mechanisms and regulatory circuits during myeloid cell development and differentiation. The successful candidate will develop novel analysis strategies and tools to better analyze and integrate high dimensional single cell biology data.
Our requirements are
  • Enthusiasm to work in a thriving academic research environment
  • Strong background in bioinformatics, preferentially in single cell transcriptome analysis
  • Strong interest in complex immunological questions
  • PhD degree or equivalent
  • an interest to work in an international environment
  • a collaborative attitude
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Very good communications and writing skills in English

Salary is paid according to German TV-L (salary agreement for public service employees).
