The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) of the University of Luxembourg is a highly dynamic working environment. To support us in the opening up of new avenues for a future biomedicine research, we are looking for a
Project manager for the LCSB strategy development (m/f)
  • Ref:  I1R-DIR-PAU-12KNTR
  • Determined contract for 3 years, 40hours/week, renewable

The project manager will provide comprehensive support to the strategy development of LCSB and its Director of the LCSB in the preparation and execution of strategic projects that prepare the centre for future directions. This work will include:
  • To collect, summarize and provide data and informations creating a base for strategic decisions,
  • To liaise with different stakeholders inside and outside the University of Luxembourg for the identification and preparation of common initiatives,
  • To initiate, manage and monitor strategically relevant projects with team members and other stakeholders,
  • To provide responsive support in conceptional design and preparation of presentations,
  • To provide summaries and a diligent follow-up of strategic meetings,
  • To do background research, compiling of information reports and contribution to the conceptual development and the positioning in international initiatives,
  • To support the integration of the LCSB activities and communication among the different LCSB research groups, partners, and stakeholders.
Your profile:
  • PhD in biomedical sciences or related areas.
  • Knowledge of the interface between biological and clinical research is appreciated.
  • Basic knowledge of bioinformatics and / or computational sciences and a willingness to acquire further knowledge is necessary.
  • Proven experience of research management, project management tools and techniques and internet technologies.
  • Experience of working independently and in a team-orientated, collaborative environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to effectively organise, prioritise and execute tasks in a highly dynamic environment.
