We are currently seeking a
Scientist Histology (f/m/d)


to support our team in the research and development of innovative immunotherapeutic products. You will work in Tuebingen (Germany) in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from all research and preclinical/ clinical development departments. Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success.

Activities and responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
  • As part of the Histology team you will design, coordinate and evaluate histological analyses to assess the expression of tumor-associated antigens.
  • You will deploy your scientific excellence and your professional creativity to constantly optimize and expand our portfolio of histological techniques.
  • You will contribute to Immatics’ target validation pipeline during the pre-clinical as well as the clinical phase of development.
  • Thorough documentation compliant with regulatory requirements and presentation of your results to internal and external stakeholders will equally be part of your responsibilities.

Qualification profile

You hold a PhD degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medicine, Pharmacy or have been comparably educated and you have proven your scientific excellence and your ability to account for complex projects. Ideally, you have gained insights into the histology-based validation of targets for (cancer-)immunotherapy, by immunohistochemistry and/or in situ hybridization. Knowledge of immunology and/ or oncology is an advantage. Your scientific competence and experience and your excellent communication skills enable you to successfully contribute to interdisciplinary projects as part of our team. You are interested in translating scientific findings into clinical applications and you take careful processing and documenting of your results for granted.
