Area of Responsibility

  • Coordinate and conduct GMP-compliant preparation and storage of cell banks, preparation of specifications, method setup at contract laboratories & release of cell banks
  • Plan, execute and evaluate experiments for cell culture process optimization and characterization of biosimilar pipeline products
  • Contribute actively to inoculum development, medium/feed development, transfer, characterization or validation projects by applying statistical methods
  • Prepare, review and approve technical documents as part of the aforementioned projects
  • Support clinical manufacturing and address technical process related questions
  • Support to maintain the state-of-the-art status of the department by evaluating and implementing new technologies
  • Train and supervise colleagues on temporary assignments (apprentices, interns, bachelor or master students)
  • Actively communicate and present your results in project teams for the development of biopharmaceuticals / biosimilars


  • Education / Experience: University degree in life sciences; PhD with min 2-3 years professional experience or Master with min 6-7 years professional experience
  • Languages: English / German beneficial
  • Technical knowledge: Broad scientific experience in a specific area (e.g. analytical, cell culture, purification, galenical), laboratory and software tools, good presentation and technical writing skills, experience with small scale bioreactor systems, cGMP knowledge desirable
