Cellzome GmbH, a GSK company, applies its world-class proteomics technology to the discovery of safe and efficacious drugs and is now building up capabili­ties in metabolomics to study effects of drugs on endogenous metabolites in cells and tissues.


Position:

The successful candidate will lead a small team of computational prote­omics scientists focusing on development and implementation of innova­tive proteomics methodologies for drug discovery applications. She/He will provide an interface between experimental groups (biochemistry, mass spectrometry) and computational teams and will work in multi­disciplinary matrix teams. Depending on seniority and qualifications the appointment will be made on senior investigator or group leader level.

Requirements:

PhD in proteomics, bioinformatics or a related field with 2-5 years of indus­try or academic experience. A proven track record in developing bio­physical, mass spectrometric or computational approaches for prote­omics and a solid background in physics or biochemistry are expected. The position requires the ability to communicate complex scientific in­formation to heterogeneous teams. Experience in using scripting and programming languages is desirable.
