Master thesis in Molecular Microbiology

The research theme of the group is investigation of the signal transduction pathways leading to biofilm formation in the gastrointestinal pathogen Salmonella typhimurium with the primary focus on signal transduction by the novel secondary messenger cyclic di-GMP.
We are looking for a person highly interested to investigate signal transduction mechanisms, protein-protein interactions and protein modifications by biochemical, molecular biology, chemical and genetic approaches as well as microscopy.
The candidate should be open-minded and highly motivated with a strong theoretical and experimental background and a curious attitude to work in a multicultural environment.
The research group of Ute Römling is located at the Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden.
