One PhD student position is available in the Cognitive Neurophysiology unit at LIN/DZNE Magdeburg, Germany. Starting date is around October 2016 and is flexible for the right candidate. 
The lab focuses on neural computation supporting temporal association memory, spatial navigation, memory encoding and consolidation, combining in vitro and in vivo electrophysiology with computational simulations (http://www.dzne.de/yoshida). Strong computer programming skills, knowledge of neuro physiology, and experience in neural simulations are advantageous. Previous lab experience and interests in in vivo single-unit recordings and/or in vivo patch-clamp recordings are also advantageous. The student will work within the LIN/DZNE collaboration projects. Stipend will be 1900 Euros/month.
