The Emmy Noether research group Myeloid Cell Biology at the Life & Medical Sciences (LIMES) Institute of the University of Bonn is offering a
 
                                              PhD position in Immunology
 
Starting in spring 2016 for 3 years initially in the field of Myeloid Cell Biology
 
The Emmy Noether research group Myeloid Cell Biology combines novel single cell transcriptomics approaches with advanced flow cytometry and functional assays to unravel novel mechanisms of myeloid cell development and differentiation during health and disease.
 
The successful candidate will work on the influence of dietary challenges on the development of myeloid cells using state of the art technologies
 
Our requirements are
  • Enthusiasm to work in a thriving academic research environment
  • Expertise in Immunology, preferentially the myeloid cell compartment
  • a strong interest in complex immunological questions
  • excellent degree (diploma or Master) in molecular biology, biomedicine, biology or a related discipline
  • an interest to work in an international environment
  • a collaborative attitude
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Very good communications and writing skills in English
