At the Walter Brendel Zentrum for experimental Medicine of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (Campus Großhadern) we are currently looking for a PhD student
The group of Dr. Barbara Schraml at the Walter-Brendel-Center for Experimental Medicine is currently recruiting PhD students in the field of Immunology. The group aims to understand the precise functions of dendritic cells during immune responses in the context of their local tissue environment. A central question is to determine to what extent the functions of these cells are dictated by their ontogeny versus the environmental cues they receive from their surroundings.

Your responsibilities include:
  • We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual who enjoys working in an    excellent research environment and is motivated to take an active role in the development of the newly established research group.
  • Independent execution of experiments, both with live animals and in cell culture, safety level S1 and S2, such as isolation of cells for flow cytometry and microscopy.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English are required.
