We are offering the possibility to award the doctoral degree in relation to the special field for example Dr. rer. nat. or Dr. rer. medic.

The recently founded Institute for Medical Biology pursues new research strategies for HIV treatment and cure and for the development of a prophylactic HIV vaccine. A key aspect in this context is the role of CD4 T-cell responses during an HIV infection with a special emphasis on how these reactions can be harnessed for vaccine development.

Our group has several international collaborations and the applicant will be part of a dynamic team using innovative, state-of-the-art techniques with the possibility for extensive educational training.
