Student assistant (HIWI) for the development of an Android-App for the biomedical field

The Experimental and Translational Ophthalmology of the Eye Clinic of the University Medical Center in Mainz is looking for a student assistant for a maximum of 19 hours in the field of computer science/bioinformatics at the earliest opportunity.
Our research group is concerned with the search for biomarkers for the early detection and specific identification of various eye diseases (e.g. glaucoma).

Activities and responsibilities

The focus will be on creating an Android APP with a user interface for capturing and processing camera data. Algorithms for evaluating the captured data points have to be implemented and validated.

Qualification profile

Prerequisite is knowledge of Android Camera API.
Knowledge in statistics is desired.
