PerkinElmer is currently looking for an Account Manager (f/m/d), Service Solutions Home Office based in North/West Germany

As Account Manager for our Service Solutions you are responsible for Service business development in the area of North & West Germany (Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Niedersachsen, Bremen, NRW).

You will be accountable for delivering the sales targets and providing sales execution management within the assigned business area. This means, owning key accountability for driving growth through selling extended warranty, service agreements, upselling existing service contracts, promoting the entire service portfolio including aftermarket (consumables) and increasing service market shares.

Role description:

  • Manage sales plans by pushing on business expansion activities with new customers
  • Actively participate in generating ideas for value positioning and lead generation to identify new accounts and new service opportunities.
  • Develop service market shares, in securing existing customers and recovering former clients who no longer use our services.
  • Be the privileged partner of our customers on all subjects related to the services business, providing high level explanations on offering based on continuous learning and solid technical knowledge.
  • Design and execute on a structured business plan focused on value generation for existing and new customers and prioritizing business expansion.
  • ensure the territory prospect pipeline is populated with a balance of short, mid and long term prospects sufficient for the continuous attainment of territory targets.

Role requirements:

  • scientific education (preferably Bachelor’s, or higher degree) with several years sales or service experience in the scientific field
  • proven sales skills with strong sense of customer service
  • proactive mindset, strong drive for success combined with team-player mentality
  • fluent written and verbal communication skills in German and English (minimum level C1)
  • Willingness to travel is essential (50%+) and ability to work from home-office
  • Ideally located centrally within region (e.g. Münster/ Bielefeld/ Hannover area)
  • Valid driving license
