Alacris Theranostics GmbH employs next generation sequencing, bioinformatics and systems biology tools to develop personalised medicine approaches (diagnosis, treatment, pharmacological research) for cancer patients. Alacris’ strong R&D business program is focused on systems biology modelling of cancer, for prediction of disease signalling and drug action in individual patients. Bioinformatician (m/f)
for Data Analysis & Database Development in Personalised Medicine

We are looking for an experienced bioinformatician or computer scientist with a strong background in systems biology, analysis and integration of omics data and the development of omics and clinical databases.
Expertise in working with large data sets, integration of heterogeneous molecular and clinical data, databases (SQL), computer clusters as well as statistical and programming skills (in Python, Perl and R) is essential. Experience with NoSQL databases, analysis of DNA/RNA-Seq data, in pharmacokinetics/pharmacogenomics and in constructing complex biological network models would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be strongly motivated, team-oriented and have excellent communication skills in the English language.
S/he will join a group of bioinformaticians, biologists and software engineers working on the integration of omics (e.g. RNASeq, proteomics) and clinical data as generated by large international consortia and in the development, refinement and validation of mathematical cancer models using Alacris’ ModCellTM platform.
