Within the Pharmaceutical pole of Bertin Technologies (Group CNIM), BERTIN PHARMA (120 people, turnover of 14 M€ ) is a company of services and advice on analysis, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and metabolism which is looking for a sales manager for its new marketing strategy in Germany.

BERTIN PHARMA in the Bioreagent department develops, produces in France and markets worldwide, kits and assay reagents, using immunology, enzymology or molecular biology techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out field sales visits 3-4 days per week for the following purposes:
  • to introduce and meet with prospect existing or new customers
  • to discuss the company’s products
  • to provide technical advice
  • Apply the Company’s commercial and operational policy
  • Obtain referrals and prospect for new business within existing accounts and in new accounts
  • Implement sales strategy to achieve sales budget
  • Plan and effectively manage existing and new accounts
  • Represent the company and maintain a professional manner at all times

Other Duties:
  • Maintain a high level of contact with customers via telephone and e-mail and all other ways to build on the relationships established by visiting customers
  • Ensure customer database is regularly updated and all relevant information is logged and downloaded within week’s appointment
  • Represent the company at relevant exhibitions
  • Provide feedback on your sales area, the competition and the state of the market via a weekly sales report

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven reagent sales experience is ideal however laboratory consumables sales experience selling into Biotech/ Pharma/ Academic markets will be taken into full consideration.
  • A Life Science degree (Biology, Biological Science, Biomedical Sciences, Physiology, Natural Sciences, Chemistry, etc) would be favourable. Some laboratory experience is advantageous.
  • The successful candidate is driven, robust and self motivated with organisational and relationship development skills and the willingness to travel (as the role is field based) is essential as the role covers the whole Germany.
  • Excellent listening, fluent written and spoken English and German.
  • Additional language skills an advantage e.g. French.
  • The successful candidate must be living on territory with a full German drivers licence.
  • Flexibility and ability to travel occasionally for training and customers visits in Europe.
  • Confirmation of the right to work in the Germany.
